About the Firm

Complex matters require more than legal knowledge. They require strategy.

Chambers lined with law reports

Dixit & Dixit is founded on the belief that effective advocacy begins long before a matter reaches the courtroom.

Every matter is examined from the perspective of its facts, governing law, procedural history, evidentiary record and broader strategic implications. We identify the issues that are likely to determine the outcome and develop the litigation strategy accordingly.

Our practice is centred on the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and specialised appellate and regulatory forums across India. We regularly handle matters which travel through multiple judicial and statutory forums — and accordingly approach litigation as a continuous legal strategy rather than as a series of disconnected proceedings.

Whether a matter originates before an appellate tribunal, proceeds to a High Court or ultimately reaches the Supreme Court, our objective remains the same:

To build the strongest possible case for the outcome our client seeks.

Our Story

Built from the ground up.

Dixit & Dixit was founded by two first-generation lawyers who chose to build their professional careers through the courtroom.

The journey has involved handling matters across diverse areas of law, appearing before multiple judicial and statutory forums, and practising, assisting and arguing alongside and against some of the leading senior advocates and counsel in the country.

That experience has given the Founding Partners exposure to complex litigation at different levels of the judicial system and, importantly, an understanding of how a case is conceived, prepared, argued and carried through its appellate journey.

Dixit & Dixit is an extension of that journey. As first-generation lawyers, we approach the profession with the conviction that the scope of a legal practice is limited only by the quality of its work, the depth of its preparation and the ambition with which it is built.

  • 03Focused advocacy.
  • 04Professional integrity.
  • 05Results-oriented representation.

Our Approach

Adaptive litigation strategies. Every forum.

Litigation rarely begins and ends in a single courtroom. A dispute may originate before a statutory authority or specialised tribunal, proceed before a High Court and ultimately reach the Supreme Court. Our approach is to understand that entire litigation journey from the outset.

01

Understand

We begin with the facts, documents, applicable statutory framework and complete procedural history.

02

Identify

We identify the questions of law, factual issues and procedural positions that are likely to be decisive.

03

Strategise

We develop a litigation strategy with the broader appellate trajectory in mind.

04

Advocate

We present clear, focused and persuasive submissions before the appropriate forum.

05

Adapt

Litigation evolves. We continuously assess the record, developments in law, the arguments of the opposing side and the position emerging before the Court or Tribunal.

06

Deliver

Our objective is not merely to conduct the next hearing, but to pursue the strongest possible legal and strategic outcome for the client.

The Dixit & Dixit Difference

We don’t just handle the next hearing. We build the case for the final outcome.

Our practice is particularly suited to matters involving multiple stages of litigation. We bring continuity to proceedings that move between specialised tribunals, High Courts and the Supreme Court.

This appellate-oriented approach enables us to:

  • identify issues early;
  • preserve important questions of law;
  • develop a consistent litigation record;
  • anticipate appellate challenges;
  • coordinate proceedings across jurisdictions; and
  • adapt strategy as the matter develops.

From tribunal to High Court to Supreme Court — the strategy adapts as the matter develops.
