How we approach these matters
Consumer forums can deliver meaningful relief, but high-value matters are contested as vigorously as any civil suit. We prepare consumer complaints with the same rigour as commercial litigation — documented, well-pleaded and ready for appeal — and act for both consumers and businesses.

Frequently asked questions
Which consumer commission should I approach?
Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the 2021 jurisdiction rules, pecuniary jurisdiction depends on the value of consideration paid: District Commissions up to ₹50 lakh, State Commissions above ₹50 lakh and up to ₹2 crore, and the National Commission (NCDRC) above ₹2 crore.
What is the time limit for filing a consumer complaint?
Section 69 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 requires a complaint to be filed within two years from the date on which the cause of action arises. A commission may admit a delayed complaint if sufficient cause is shown and recorded.
Can an NCDRC order be appealed to the Supreme Court?
Yes. An order of the NCDRC passed in its original jurisdiction may be appealed to the Supreme Court under Section 67 of the Act within 30 days, and the Court may condone delay for sufficient cause. A party required to pay an amount under the order must first deposit 50% of it; the Supreme Court has held that this condition does not apply to complaints filed before the 2019 Act came into force.
